Lord, help me to not forget You

Lord, help me to not forget You.

I want to remember You in everything that I do, like I used to.

Somehow, I feel that I’ve lost focus on You and made myself busy searching for my place, figuring things out, and just…living. I have run, walked, and looked around and got a headache doing the same thing for the nth time. I didn’t notice that my hand was slowly slipping from Your grasp.

But You’ve held me tight, as You always do, gripping and growing what little was left of You in me. Then in my quick prayers, You would bring me back to that haven where we used to meet…and stay.

Oh Lord, thank You, because You always lead me back to You.

But please Lord, my Dearest, I don’t want to forget again.

Help me to not forget You.
